Congressman Al Green stated: “The President has taken our country to war without Congress having weighed in. I’m calling on Speaker Johnson to reconvene the Congress to allow the War Powers Resolution, of which I am a cosponsor, to be voted on.”

The Senate Office Building is named to honor Senator Richard Russell, Jr., whose record includes opposition to anti-lynching legislation, co-authorship of the “Southern Manifesto,” and resistance to the Civil Rights Act of 1964.

The distribution was held at the Michael E. DeBakey Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center (MEDVAMC).
