(Washington, DC)—On April 29, 2014, the House Financial Services Oversight and Investigations Subcommittee approved four amendments sponsored by Congressman Al Green, Ranking Member of the subcommittee, and supported by Ranking Member of the full committee Congresswoman Maxine Waters, to a resolution authorizing the issuance of subpoenas to compel the testimony of certain employees of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.

The resolution specifically seeks to bring attention to the health disparities faced by minority populations in the U.S. A companion resolution was previously introduced in the Senate by Senator Ben Cardin (D-MD).
