(Washington, D.C.) — On Monday, August 24, 2026, Congressman Al Green filed H.Res.1486, to impeach President Donald John Trump for high crimes and misdemeanors. The resolution states that President Trump abused his presidential powers by allowing U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) to operate without accountability, assault civilians, and cover up killings, including those of Renée Good, Alex Pretti, Lorenzo Salgado Araujo, and Johan Sebastián Durán Guerrero.
