(Washington, DC)--Yesterday, Congressman Al Green voted to approve the bipartisan Fiscal Year 2010 Commerce, Justice and Science Appropriations bill that invests in two of our nation’s top priorities – protecting Americans at home, as well as spurring scientific research and innovation.

(Washington, DC)--Yesterday, by a vote of 417-2, the House of Representatives passed H.R. 403, the Homes for Heroes Act, which will provide housing for homeless veterans and their families, as well as help prevent very low-income-veteran families from falling into homelessness.

(Washington, DC)--Yesterday, the House of Representatives passed H.R. 2751, the Consumer Assistance to Recycle and Save (CARS) Act, commonly known as “cash for clunkers.”  Congressman Al Green, a strong proponent of cash for clunkers, voted in favor of the bill, which passed by a 298-119 vote.

(Washington, DC)--Today, Congressman Al Green voted in favor of S. Con. Res. 13, Congress’ 2009 budget resolution, which passed the House of Representatives by a 233-193 vote.  This budget resolution will build on the initial steps taken to restore the economy that were made earlier this year with the passage of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act.
