Congressman Al Green Marches in the National Action to Realize the Dream March at the Lincoln Memorial

(Washington, D.C.)—On August 24, 2013, Congressman Al Green joined fellow Members of Congress, civil rights leaders, members of the King family, and the general public at the National Action to Realize the Dream March at the Lincoln Memorial.

"It is critical that we rededicate ourselves to the cause of civil and human rights as well as economic justice,” Congressman Al Green said. “We are at a critical turning-point in the history of our nation where people of good will who believe in liberty and justice for all must actively be a part of the solution or passively be a part of the problem. We must work to maintain and strengthen protections for the sake of all Americans, such that the progress we have made as a nation is not rolled back."
