Washington, D.C. (March 20, 2018) – Today, Representatives Al Green (D-TX) and Barbara Lee (D-CA) led a letter to the Appropriations Committee with 84 members of Congress to support $45 million in funding for the Fair Housing Initiatives Program (FHIP) and $24.3 million for the Fair Housing Assistance Program (FHAP) for Fiscal Year 2019. President Trump’s current budget request of $36.2 million for FHIP would leave the program significantly underfunded.
