(Washington, D.C.) — On Saturday, August 15, 2026, Congressman Al Green will host Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. for a historic Slavery Remembrance Legislative Update and Assembly to implement a National Day of Slavery Remembrance on August 20th annually. The annual event will help ensure the evils of slavery are never forgotten and thus never repeated.
