(Houston, TX) — On Wednesday, August 30, 2023, Congressman Al Green will present a symbolic check for $1.6 million for the federal funding that Gulfgate Redevelopment Authority will receive for intersection safety and mobility improvements. As we fight to save our schools, we must also make school routes safer for our students. These funds will benefit Hartman Middle School, Alcott Elementary School, Stuart Park, F.M. Law Park, as well as the Sims Bayou Hike and Bike Trail.

The annual event will help ensure the evils of slavery are never forgotten and never repeated. The event will take place in the Congressional Members Dining Room of the U.S. Capitol Building.

The upgrade of technology equipment is essential for Legacy to better address the healthcare needs of constituents in the Ninth Congressional District of Texas because it will allow patients to have improved access to their personal health information, including appointment scheduling.
