(Houston, TX) — On Tuesday, May 21, 2024, Congressman Al Green penned a letter to President Biden urgently seeking support for storm recovery in Houston and surrounding counties in the state of Texas. The missive highlights the pressing need for federal assistance in several counties whose requests are awaiting approval. It stresses that critical aid is necessary to speed the restoration of services and to commence the rebuilding process.

(Houston, TX) — On Saturday, April 27, 2024, Congressman Al Green announced Julia Xiao as the 2024 Ninth Congressional District Art Competition Winner at a community meeting and reception hosted at Houston Community College’s South Campus. The Congressional Art Competition received 35 submissions from high school students across the Ninth Congressional District, which straddles Harris County, Fort Bend County, and Brazoria County.

This level of aggression cannot be condoned. I condemn this dangerous overreaction and thank President Biden for his continued efforts to de-escalate and achieve peace.”
