Congressman Al Green’s Statement on the Passing of Senior Officer William “Bill” Jeffrey

(Houston, TX) – On Monday, September 27, 2021, Congressman Al Green (TX-09) released the following statement:

“One week ago, the City of Houston lost one of its officers in the line of duty, Senior Officer William “Bill” Jeffrey. Senior Officer Jeffrey served our city and helped keep it safe for 30 years. He was well-regarded and is fondly remembered among his Houston Police Department (HPD) colleagues and will be dearly missed. I pray for the entire HPD family as they carry forth in their mission to work with the public, preserve the peace, and keep Houston residents out of harm’s way.
