Congressman Al Green Joins NoH8 Campaign, Stands up for Equal Rights

(Washington, DC)--On October 11, 2012, Congressman Green joined with 25 of his colleagues in support of the NoH8 Campaign’s photo shoot to celebrate National Coming Out Day. National Coming Out Day is observed annually to raise awareness of the LGBT community and their struggle for equality.

"I believe that Dr. King was right when he indicated life is an inescapable network of mutuality tied to a single garment of destiny - what impacts one directly, impacts all indirectly. Hate, indirectly, affects every person. We have to eradicate hate in all its forms and I am proud to be associated with this campaign."
