Censure Statement by Congressman Al Green in Response to Rep. Gosar’s Animated Video

(Washington, DC) — On Wednesday, November 17, 2021, Congressman Al Green (TX-09) released the following statement:

“We've had an insurrection wherein multiple people were killed. We have to walk through metal detectors to get to the floor of the Capitol. Members are concerned for their safety. Is this a representation of the citadel of democracy or has it become a fortress wherein members of the House must protect themselves from each other? I hope this resolution today will send a message to all that violence and threats of violence have no place in the House of Representatives."
