(Houston, TX) — On Friday, October 18, 2024, Congressman Al Green will deliver remarks at the 2024 Houston Stand Down, hosted by the City of Houston. This event aims to provide veterans with essential resources and services, including housing, furniture, clothing, hygiene products, food, haircuts, career readiness assistance, medical benefits, and more. The event will take place at The Zone, located at 10371 Stella Link Rd, Houston, TX 77025 at 9:00 a.m. CT.

(Houston, TX) — On Saturday, July 27, 2024, Congressman Al Green joined Francisco Vazquez, Medical Center Director of the Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center, in collaboration with Combined Arms (a veterans and community support organization) as well as the Houston Food Bank, to distribute free food to veterans and their family members to aid in recovery from Hurricane Beryl.

(Houston, TX) — On Monday, February 12, 2024, Congressman Al Green observed National Salute to Veteran Patients Week by leading the distribution of U.S. Constitutions and 1,100 American flags that were flown over the U.S. Capitol to Veterans. The distribution took place at the Michael E. DeBakey Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center (MEDVAMC) to honor and extend appreciation to the brave men and women who have served and protected our nation.
