Jul 30, 2019 Issues: Housing

(Houston, TX) – On Tuesday, July 30, 2019, Congressman Al Green released the following statement in support of the Telephone Road Elderly Project by the Houston Housing Authority:

“Since my arrival in Congress, I have been supportive of the low-income housing tax credits (LIHTCs) program. I am proud to see this potential allotment of $19.4 million in LIHTCs from the federal government come into my congressional district to benefit our seniors. I have been and continue to be a proud champion of Section 8 housing opportunities, so it is my honor to see the revitalization of this housing complex for elders come to fruition. This is a great day for Houston, a great day for the Ninth Congressional District of Texas, and an even greater day for our senior citizens.”
